Colorado Engineering Experiment Station (CEESI) has provided consulting services to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) in the development of a measurement uncertainty calculator. The objective is to provide the industry with a standardized tool to evaluate the sources of uncertainty encountered when measuring gas flow. Sources include; the primary measurement device, secondary instrumentation, installation effects, etc. Quantifying these uncertainties is important due to new regulations being imposed on the industry.

Update 4/30/19: Shortly after I posted this link, CEESI removed references to this calculator from their website. Since then, I found what I believe to be this same software tool at the link above. –SPS, Editor
