We can observe an increased interest in high resistance measurements in the range of MΩ to TΩ. This may be related to recent inter-laboratory comparisons in this area, or to increasing activities in HiPot testing and insulation resistance measurements in industry, which of course requires availability of appropriate calibrated high resistance standards. As there are many metrologists with experience in the low resistance measurements (up to about 100k Ohm) who are now facing the need to extend their range of measurements to higher values, we offer some information that hopefully shall help to make it easier.
